What we actually buy from you
This page is for those who want to sell gold, not buy. We examine old jewelry, broken chains, single earrings, rings that don't fit on the finger, and scraps left in the drawer. For us, the main value of such an item is its gold content, therefore even a completely damaged piece of jewelry can be relevant.
Items with special design, historical, or brand value may be worth more than the metal content, but such an assessment is a separate field. If you have such an item, mention it in the inquiry and we will honestly say if it is suitable for us.
How the estimate is built
The calculation starts with the total weight of the item. From it, we deduct the weight of stones, steel clasp springs, glue, or any component that is not gold, and get a net weight. The net weight is multiplied by the purity level — for example, 0.585 for 14K gold — and we get the amount of pure gold.
The pure gold price per gram is calculated based on XAU/USD divided by 31.1034768 multiplied by the USD/ILS exchange rate. Any price shown on the site is a non-binding estimate. Multiplying the pure gold by this price provides a theoretical value only. The payment to the customer is lower than this, as a gold buyer incurs costs for inspection, refining, handling, and financing.
- Total weight minus deductions = net weight
- Net weight times purity = pure gold
- Pure gold times reference price = theoretical value
- The actual payment is determined after weighing and testing
What happens in the physical check
The stamp on the jewelry is a starting point, not proof. In the check, we re-weigh, examine the actual purity, and identify plated or hollow parts. Sometimes it is discovered that part of the jewelry is made of a different alloy, and then the estimate changes accordingly.
Only after the check is a final offer provided. You are not obligated to sell, and the offer itself also depends on the market price on the day of the check and the business's approval.
Inquiry with photos and location
The fast way to start is to fill out the calculator, and then send a quote request with up to four photos via the inquiry form. You can also write on WhatsApp or email and attach the estimate details.
If you are in Ofakim, Be'er Sheva, Netivot, or anywhere else — write to us where you are inquiring from, and we will check together if and how to coordinate a check. We do not commit in advance to a specific service area.
