Questions to ask
How do you weigh? How do you test purity? What is the reference price you use and when was it updated? How much will you pay per gram of pure gold? Can I see the calculation?
A buyer who answers clearly gives you a basis for comparison.

Red flags
Promises of the highest price without seeing the item, pressure to decide immediately, refusal to weigh in front of you, or unwillingness to explain — these are all reasons to stop.
You are not obligated to sell after testing.
Types of buyers
Goldsmiths and workshops, jewelry stores, and specialized buyers work in different ways. A workshop that uses the metal itself knows purity and weight very well.
Brand items or antiques may be more suitable for specialized dealers.
Remote sale vs. face-to-face sale
There are services that offer to send jewellery by mail and receive payment. This is convenient, but the inspection is done without your presence. Face-to-face sale allows you to see the weighing and ask questions in real-time.
In any case, photograph the items and weigh them before they leave your hands, and keep documentation.
What to bring with you
The items sorted by hallmark, a list with the weights you measured, and the estimate result from the calculator. If there are stones you want to keep, mark them.
This way you can compare your estimate to what is actually measured, and understand any difference.
How we work
At Jewellery 3D, you can get an estimate in the calculator with a reference price and source, and send a request with photos. The final offer is given after weighing and testing.
If you are in Ofakim, Be'er Sheva, Netivot, or anywhere else — write to us where you are inquiring from, and we will check together if and how to coordinate a check. We do not commit in advance to a specific service area.
