Printed model
Accurate resin model. Used for checking, measuring, or casting. Is not jewelry for safekeeping.
This is the cheapest and most flexible stage for changes.
Cast item
Metal item after casting, with sprue remains and a raw surface. Suitable for goldsmiths who perform finishing themselves.
Includes labor cost and metal cost.
Finished jewelry
Polished, cleaned, sometimes set and plated item, ready to wear. Includes additional manual work.
Suitable for private customers.
- Model — checking
- Cast — for goldsmiths
- Finished — for wearing
Example: Engagement ring
A couple arrives with an idea for a ring. The first stage is a digital model, followed by a resin model for measuring on the finger. After approval — casting in gold, and finally finishing, stone setting, and polishing.
If you skip the measurement model, any later change requires a new casting. This is why a prototype saves money in personal projects.
Example: Jeweller with a series
A jeweller who has a ready file and performs finishing himself will usually order just printing and casting. He receives cast items and continues the work in his workshop.
Therefore, in a price quote request, it is important to specify exactly at what stage you want to receive the item.
Cost by stage
Each stage adds work: printing is priced by size and quantity, casting by metal and weight, and finishing by complexity. The price list and production calculator on the site show a starting point for production work.
Cost of metal, finishing, shipping, and VAT are not included unless stated in the offer.
How to choose
Ask yourself: who is doing the finishing? Do you need design approval before metal? What is the budget?
Requesting a price quote with the appropriate service type will help us return with an accurate offer.
